What is Tencel?
Tencel is a cellulosic fiber made from tree pulp grown without the use of herbicides.
The production of fibers is done without the use of harmful chemicals. This ecological process of producing fibers makes them very popular and Tencel fibers have been repeatedly awarded for environmental friendliness.
How does Tencel compare with other fibers?
Tencel has all the characteristics of a luxury fiber: the natural, functional comfort of cotton, the luxury and shine of the silk but also the coolness of the linen. The fabric knitted or woven from Tencel yarns demonstrates very good performance in terms of fiber damage as it is particularly durable. Its excellent moisture management ensures optimal body temperature regulation. It regulates the absorption and release of moisture in such a way, as to prevent the development of bacteria to a great extent, offering a completely natural way of maintaining hygiene. Always combining all these unique features with its smooth surface and soft texture. When mixed with other fibers, Tencel strengthens their best features. Cotton becomes more absorbent, silk smoother and linen even cooler.
