COCO-MAT continues its initiative “Give your old linens a second life”, expanding its actions across more cities in Greece.

As part of this effort, two donations were carried out in Patras, supporting Kivotos Agapis and he Skagiopouleio Child & Youth Protection Center (Achaia), contributing to their important work.

Kivotos Agapis, active since 1973, is an organization with a significant social impact, providing free accommodation, care and support to children and adults with severe intellectual and physical disabilities. Through a comprehensive framework of services, it addresses essential daily needs while also offering meaningful support to the families of its residents.

The Skagiopouleio Child & Youth Protection Center in Achaia is a long-standing child welfare institution, offering accommodation, care and support to children in need. With a focus on safety, education and social integration, it actively contributes to creating a stable and nurturing environment for children to grow and thrive.

As part of the initiative, old linens collected through COCO-MAT stores were carefully cleaned, sterilized and creatively repurposed, gaining a new form. Some of these materials were transformed into handmade soft toys, which were offered to the children, giving the fabrics a second, more meaningful life.

At the same time, COCO-MAT reinforced its contribution by donating sheets, towels and pillows from its collections, helping cover the everyday needs of both organizations.

These actions confirm that the initiative is evolving into a continuous chain of giving, where materials are transformed into meaningful acts of care.

With this mindset, the collection of old linens continues across COCO-MAT stores, so that more materials can be given a second life and offered to organizations and communities in need.
