COCO-MAT continues its global initiative “Give your old sheets a second life”, expanding its reach beyond Athens. Earlier this month, a new donation was delivered to ELEPAP Chania, further supporting the organisation’s valuable work in Crete.
This action builds on our ongoing collaboration with ELEPAP, following the donation made to ELEPAP Athens in November 2025, reaffirming our commitment to supporting the organisation’s mission across different cities in Greece.
With a presence in six cities (Athens, Thessaloniki, Chania, Ioannina, Volos and Agrinio), ELEPAP provides daily rehabilitation, education and empowerment programmes for children and adults with motor disabilities and cerebral palsy, promoting equal participation and inclusion in society.
As part of the donation, old bedding items collected at COCO-MAT stores were carefully cleaned, sterilised and transformed into soft handmade toys. These were offered to the children of ELEPAP Chania, giving new meaning and purpose to materials that had completed their initial life cycle. In addition, COCO-MAT multiplied its contribution by donating sheets and blankets from its collections, helping to meet the organisation’s everyday needs.

The expansion of the initiative to Chania highlights how this action continues to grow into a meaningful chain of giving with tangible social impact.
With this spirit, the collection of old sheets at COCO-MAT stores remains ongoing, so that each fabric can be reimagined and offered again in future donations, supporting organisations and communities in need.
