KALEIDOCITY by Emily Thomas
For a limited time, Coco-Mat Berlin is proud to be hosting the upcoming exhibition by internationally exhibiting visual artist Emily Thomas.
KALEIDOCITY is a presentation of three-dimensional artworks inspired by the architecture and urban identities of Berlin, London and Barcelona from the artist’s perspective. Thomas has transformed complex urban motifs from each of these cities into a series of artworks that explore sense of place through form, materiality and colour. Each object has been carefully handmade and blurs the boundaries between sculpture, painting, object and architecture.
Emily Thomas graduated from the University of Arts London in 2018 and is currently based in Berlin. She has exhibited her work at internationally renowned locations such as the Saatchi Gallery London, Soulangh Cultural Park Taiwan and ZK/U (Centre for Art & Urbanism) Berlin. Her work is currently supported by the Stiftung Kunstfonds, and previously by the European Cultural Foundation and Arts Council England.
