About The Job

Υou will be responsible for the end to end delivery of a number of audits that should contribute to our global audit program. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify the key risks, assess how we are managing these risks and identify solutions that will genuinely improve the business. The success of all auditors is measured by their ability to deliver independent assurance and insight to a consistently high standard and to be a catalyst for change in the business.

Main Responsibilities

• Having full accountability for financial and/or operational audits including planning, reporting and following up on agreed actions;
• Working with the business and having regular communication with stakeholders/BoD to ensure that audit issues are addressed;
• Performing ad hoc in-flight reviews of ongoing change initiative projects, helping to build a robust control framework;
• Potential for international travel dependent on business need;
• Continually looking for ways to improve the audit function and supporting colleagues to ensure continuous improvement and a happy and motivated team;
• Driving your own training and keeping ahead of trends to enable your work to add value to the business; and
• Additional responsibilities may include: Department Quality Assurance monitoring, audit plan KPI reporting and department training agenda.

Development opportunities:

Assigned the engagement manager for each audit and a development manager to support the individual’s training and growth within Coco-Mat; Learning about a wide range of processes (retail, wholesale, exports, imports) across different businesses in Coco-Mat  group, essential to future career progression; Potential for international travel to perform audits with the support of the Senior Manager based in each country; Potential for secondments to other areas of the business.

 

Key Interactions:

Reporting to the BoD; Working with Coco-Mat Directors as Head of Audit, as well as with external auditors; and Working with Operational Stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Audit, Business Administration.
• Post graduate diploma and/or professional certifications (CIA, ACCA, etc) are an advantage.
• 2-3 years hands-on experience in auditing; ideally within internal audit.
• Prior experience of working in Retail is preferred, but not essential;
• High level of business understanding and the ability to empathize with stakeholders and identify pragmatic solutions which address risks identified;
• Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to demonstrate credibility in dealings with stakeholders at all levels;
• Strong independent mind-set and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment; and
• Candidates must be highly motivated and proactive, keen to take full ownership of their area of responsibility and focus on delivering results.
• The individual will also need excellent time and project management skills, demonstrating high levels of accuracy, thoroughness and reliability to deliver multiple audits.
• Excellent command of business English, in both written and verbal.
• Ability to travel
• Solid knowledge of International Standards for the professional practice on Internal Auditing (IPPF).
